Pippi came to us as an owner surrender and was originally named Happy. Things were just not working out at her home, where she had been since she was a puppy. The answer to the why is kind of convoluted. Pippi is a Miniature Pinscher and by nature they seem to be mean muggin all of the time. Maybe Pippi felt conflicted based on her original name, lol. That's a lot of pressure. She could be a bit anti social we will call it because it is not aggressive. It's a lack of interest in some other dogs and if they bug her too much, she may let them know. And then she is a bit jumpy - meaning you can't just walk towards her quickly and grab her. She wants you to do it slowly so she is prepared. Surprises aren't her thing and hey, we get it. If you get it wrong, she turns her head around like she may nip you but I've yet to see her follow through.

All in all, she runs towards you excited to see you and will jump up in your arms as you pick her up - as long as she knows it's coming. She is a quirky gal and it's taken us some time to figure her out and to evaluate what type of home we thought she might fit into. We think she would do best in a somewhat quiet home. We wouldn't recommend young kids due to her preference of things moving a bit slow. She'd love to occupy a lap for a good part of the day and then take a wonderful stroll of the evening.

We are pretty sure Pippi has a perfect person out there who will learn her quirks and be just fine with them. Her kisses and cuddles are worth at least that. If you are interested in Pippi, please apply here.
