Our sweet Anza was part of a pack of 6 dogs left behind in the desert when their owners passed away. A family friend was caring for them and sought rescue help. In order to reduce the likelihood of reproduction among the pack, we took the females. And gosh are we glad we did. Anza is the sweetest, gentlest, curious soul. She is really just a puppy and has already experienced more loss than we'd like. We love it when she looks curiously at something or even gets a bit mouthy with our hands. There is no pressure in her mouth - it's more a "Come on and play" invitation.

Anza came to us with her mom, Sahara. Her dad went to another rescue and Anza looks exactly like a cross between the two. We would love to see her go with her mom, Sahara, but if that's not possible she absolutely 100 % needs another confident dog in the household.
