Sweet granny, Althea came to us as a stray. I know it is unbelievable that this tiny, under 8 pound girl could be out by herself and it is even more unbelievable that nobody seemed to be looking for her. 

Althea is quiet but inquisitive, especially since she had a dental. The last four teeth she had were so rotten that they nearly cost this amazing pup her life. She now is the proud owner of 0 teeth and feels fantastic!

She is the tiniest, quietest, biggest energy in the room - if that makes any sense. She will watch you and when you meet her gaze she will move a couple of steps toward you as if to say "Pick me up." If she smells something yummy, she is right there to see what you may have.

Althea's pre-surgery bloodwork looked great however she does show some signs of her kidneys beginning to be affected. We are told the dental will likely help that but that a kidney diet would be best for her. Well, Miss Althea has decided she doesn't love a kidney diet so that part will be a challenge.
